Senior banner printing in El Paso: sizes, costs, and how not to cringe in 5 years.

The ultimate guide to senior banners — shots, sizes, printers, and the design mistakes parents regret the most.

Senior banner

Senior banners are an El Paso tradition. Every high school gym has them. Every softball, football, soccer, and basketball program runs them. But the quality ranges from magazine-cover-good to make-you-wince-10-years-from-now. Here's how to get it right.

The 3 standard sizes

  • 24×48 — the classic indoor gym banner. Most programs default to this.
  • 36×72 — for outdoor fields and large venues. More dramatic.
  • 18×36 — small, affordable, great for programs on a budget or grouped on a wall.

Budgeting for banners

Banner pricing in El Paso varies by size, material, and whether you're bundling photography + design with the print. Most programs plan for a per-player budget that covers the shoot, the design, and the final printed banner — delivered. The best way to dial it in: send us your roster size and timeline, we'll send a custom quote that fits your program's budget.

The 5 design mistakes

1. Too many elements

Senior banners should have: one great photo, the player's name, jersey number, position, graduation year. That's it. Everything else fights for attention.

2. Awkward school logos

If the school logo is bigger than the player's head, something's wrong. It should be subtle, not competing.

3. Trendy fonts

Grunge, graffiti, chrome — all looked "cool" in the year you made it. They don't age. Pick a clean, timeless typeface.

4. Bad photo cutouts

If the player's photo has weird edges, white halos, or a chunk of someone else's arm still visible — the banner is ruined. Demand a clean cutout or a photo that doesn't need one.

5. Off-brand colors

Every school has official colors. Use them. The banner should feel like it belongs to the program, not the designer.

The best senior banners look like they could hang in the gym for 20 years. The worst look like a 2016 Instagram filter hit a high school yearbook.
